Back in Switzerland Mario played as a point and shooting guard, currently measuring 6-4.

The 2016 season I played for the U19 team with which we reached the National Championship Final Four tournament and on the U23 team of GC Basketball Zurich team, in the 3rd national division (Swissbasketball 1LN) scoring an average of 11.5 pts per game.

In the US Mario is currently trying out for the Bellarmine Varsity team and working with AAU coach Mike Allen ( ) in San Jose to getting better prepared to compete in the US high school level, and played some tournaments in the bay area.

Academically Mario is currently working towards his first US semester grades in Calculus BC AP, US History, Physics C AP, Science Fiction and Computer Science A AP at Bellarmine College Prep. In Switzerland Mario has obtained Swiss Federal Maturity Certificate which meets both high school graduation requirements and core-curriculum requirements according to NCAA “International Academic Standards for Athletics Eligibility 2015-2016” guidelines.

Mario has tested for SAT on October 1st, 2016 and will test for TOEFL on October 8, 2016, and the SAT subjects Test (Math & Physics) on November 5th.

Mario’s dream is to study at an academically strong college for electrical engineering or engineering with international studies, and at the play basketball during my undergraduate studies at the highest possible level. While in Switzerland Mario has been accepted for studying at the best technical university (ETHZ), Mario will not be able to compete at a basketball level anywhere close to the NCAA. Therefore he has decided to apply for Boston College for a Bachelor’s in Physics or Computer Science as a Jesuit University where my spiritual, academic and athletic aspiration can be truly met.
